A roadshow was organized to highlight modern agricultural reforms that ensure sustainable development through the use of advanced agricultural technologies and water conservation.

Held at Ali Tareen Farms with the special collaboration of Pepsi International, the conference familiarized participants with the practices of the Ali Tareen Model Farm. Representatives from dozens of organizations—including the United Nations, Pepsi, Ali Tareen Farms, and JDW/JK Sugar Mills—attended the event.

On this occasion, Pepsi International presented an honorary shield to Ali Tareen Farms in recognition of its exemplary practices.

Dr. Thirah Rungruang, Head of the United Nations Asia Pacific Bone Screw, also praised the innovations at Ali Tareen Farms. He remarked that by following the practices of the Ali Tareen Model Farms, other farms could similarly achieve water conservation and increased agricultural productivity.

Ali Nisar Bajwa, General Manager of Ali Tareen Farms, briefed participants on the farm’s efficient water utilization, the application of modern technology, the farm’s history, and Jahangir Khan Tareen’s efforts in transforming hundreds of acres of barren land into cultivable fields.

Despite challenges such as the availability of canal water for only six months a year and saline, uncultivable soil, the consistently high yields from Ali Tareen Farms stand as a testament to Jahangir Tareen’s innovative mindset and practical capabilities.

Expressing his appreciation, Izhar ul Haq Awan, Supply Chain Development and Commercialization Manager at Pepsi International, commended how Jahangir Khan Tareen turned barren land into productive farmland through years of hard work. Today, the yields from this farm surpass those of surrounding areas.

Participants noted that the use of modern technology and effective planning in agriculture not only increases productivity but also ensures land preservation and water savings.

At the end of the event, participants visited Ali Tareen Farms, where they were briefed on modern practices, advanced machinery equipped with technology, state-of-the-art agricultural tools, and various community welfare projects.
